Ram Mandir built in year 2024 architect by Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Trust during BJP rule in India. A shocking controversy emerged in Ayodhya of Ram Mandir, it has been alleged that theft has been committed at Ram Mandir of devotee’s donation of money, silver, gold and stones. Intiall it appeared as an isolated theft but it now has expanded as a wider investigation involving systematic failure of recruited member and serious lapse in financial oversight. It has been alleged that around 70 million of money has been theft, so to decode this Supreme Court ordered to form a SIT team, Special Investigation Team lead by senior IPS officer to investigate the alleged theft and misappropriation of donation at Ram Mandir.

The controversy came into light when decrement noticed in accounting of cash donation offered by devotees at Ram Mandir. After FIR complaint lodged by Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Police has arrest eight individuals in connection with alleged theft of donation. The arrested person are Avinash Shukla, Lavkush Mishra, Anukalp Mishra, Manish Kumar, Ram Shankar Yadav and Subhash Srivastava. According to investigation it has been find that around 50 people are engaged in counting notes donated by devotees. The SIT reportedly identified at least 70 instance of theft captured in CCTV footage recorded between 27 April and 6 June showing that employees concealing bundles of currency inside their pockets, clothes and under shoes. Reports highlight that their has been grave failure in temple cash- handling and security procedure. Tinnu Yadav had the keys of donation box and access to facilities despite having valid authorisation and written notice. SIT is investigating more to determine was that only administrative failure or something conspiracy.

This case reached to Supreme Court, hearing a bench headed by CJI Surya Kant directed to make an independent investigating team (SIT) to investigate the mater throughoghly. Court directed Solicitor general to consult Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police regarding constitution of SIT also state that SIT would examine status report files by Government of State before passing an order. The controversy has amid increase public tension, where there donation is going and why there is np one held accountable. Trust’s general secretary Champat Rai and trustee Anil Mishra has resigned from their position attracting mass people’s attention. Various misappropriation of money and silver has been discover till now and many estate which has been paid overpriced in comparison to market value by the money of donation and also there us no slip of donation that has been made by some Jewels and some other people.

The Ram Mandir holds immense religious, cultural and national significance for the nation. It has been a major site where thousand of devotees’s travelled to worship them. The case is highly controversial as it was very famous and it has been constructed by demolition of Babri Majid.The case has highlighted the need to take legal liability to make stronger governance.

As investigation continues presumption of innocence continues. Yogi Adityanath, CM of Uttar Pradesh stated that no body is held liable until the investigation is done. The final determination of criminal liability will depend on court fair judgement.
