Education Minister of India Dharmendra Pradhan resigned from his post today after weeks of cockroaches protest and Sonal Wangchuk’s Hunger strike. Dharmendra Pradhan has a long history back, he launched his career protesting against a paper leak with 1200 protesters and now he had to resigned as education minister. In 2014 he appointed as Junior Petroleum Minister when BJP came into power in 2014 and then in appointed as education minister of India. In his tenancy many eÉ›ams has been leaked over years, nothing improved and no accountability from his side, this made youth outraged and angry.
Today after protest at many places for instance Jantar Mantar at Delhi, Bihar, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Mizoram substantially put force on Central government for resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan. Narendra Modi apologize for the paper leak . The demonstration was headed by Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a satirical party. Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned saying the interest of students and nation come first. In a two-page resignation letter addressed to ” my young friends”, Pradhan defended Central government response and show gratitude stating that his decision was right as they do not want India’s future to caught on prolonged legal and political battles.
The resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan bring a joy in young people, they are celebrating in every state now. Every demonstration has been call off and celebration has began in every state. Abhijeet Deepke said ” WE HAVE DONE IT” then youth at Jantar Mantar cheered.
Kejiriwal said that ” This is a big won for democracy, Congratulate to Gen Z and youth. Government never listened to people, they always beg to government but they ignore. He urged from the government to improve the condition of NEET examination so that no students suicide further on. Government has to listen to issue of people as India is democratic and Democracy is BY THE PEOPLE FOR THE PEOPLE”.
After the news of resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan, many politicians made their way to Jantar Mantar and gives speeches on stage. People mock by saying ‘ Just because you are in opposition, don’t be happy so much, we will ask the same question to each ministers whoever party rules, Accountability is mandatory.
