Eligibility Criteria

​Education: Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university (Preference given to Law Graduates).
​Technical Skill:
​Passed Government Commercial Certificate Examination (GCC-TBC) or ITI for English Typing at 40 w.p.m.
​Note: Proficiency in Marathi typing (30 w.p.m.) is usually required/preferred; check the detailed notification for specific certificate mandates.
​Computer Knowledge: Certificate in MS-CIT or equivalent is mandatory.
​Age Limit: 18 to 38 years (General). Reserved categories get relaxation up to 43 years.
2. Peon / Hamal (887 Posts)

- ​Physique: Good physique is required.
- ​Age Limit: 18 to 38 years.
​3. Stenographer (Lower Grade)
- ​Education: Graduate in any discipline.
- ​Shorthand/Typing: English Shorthand 80 w.p.m. + English Typing 40 w.p.m.
​4. Stenographer (Higher Grade)
​Shorthand/Typing: English Shorthand 100 w.p.m. + English Typing 40 w.p.m.

Salary & Pay Scale
​The Bombay High Court offers a lucrative pay scale for these permanent positions:
- ​Stenographer (Higher Grade): S-15 (₹41,800 – ₹1,32,300)
- ​Stenographer (Lower Grade): S-14 (₹38,600 – ₹1,22,800)

Selection Process
